For the fastest and sportiest naked ever, a direct descendant of the RSV4, four-time World SBK champion, a new evolutionary step has arrived which unlocks exceptional levels of performance. The new, sophisticated electronic management includes an advanced dynamic controls package with Aprilia APRC electronics, cornering ABS, pit limiter and cruise control. The inimitable 175 hp V4 earns Euro 4 approval, without sacrificing any of its superb performance. To match the engine and deliver a precise and composed ride there’s also improved suspension and Brembo brakes that are a perfect pairing for the engine’s potential.

Heart-pumping performance

The Tuono’s beating heart is a 65° V4 engine with unique characteristics. The narrow V architecture has made it possible to make an engine that is extremely compact lengthways which helps to centralise weights and achieve a compact chassis. The changes made in this evolution of the Italian V4 have resulted in an increase in overall reliability and performance, without sacrificing any of the great character and marvellous sound that riders love so much.

Modern, innovative, safe

The greatest innovations have to do with the Tuono V4's electronics, which have always been considered as the “best in class”, where the APRC system stands out. The fourth generation of APRC, standard on the Tuono V4 1100, fits in perfectly with the fine electronic management of the full ride-by-wire throttle – a system which has allowed all superfluous throttle body electronic management components to be eliminated, resulting in a saving of 590 grams.

Superbike suspension and brakes

The Tuono V4 range fully delivers the legendary qualities of handling and stability you'd expect from a frame that is closely derived from that of the Aprilia RSV4, seven-time World Superbike Champion. The front Brembo braking system is comprised of a pair of new 330mm steel discs gripped by Brembo M50 monobloc  callipers and activated by a Brembo radial master cylinder on the handlebar – just like you get on an RSV4.

APRC - Aprilia Performance Ride Control

The RSV4 and Tuono V4 both come with APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control), an electronic control package that draws on Superbike World Championship winning technology. The most comprehensive and advanced solution on the market, it is a dynamic suite of electronic systems containing unique auto-calibration and wheelie control functions consisting of: ATC (Aprilia Traction Control), AWC (Aprilia Wheelie Control), ALC (Aprilia Launch Control) and AQS (Aprilia Quick Shift). Starting with the RSV4 RR and Factory, Tuono V4 1100 RR and Factory, AWC has been recalibrated to deliver maximum performance at level 1, the option with greatest freedom.
